Low-Radiation Digital X-Rays
Studies have shown that digital X-rays emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays, and because these X-rays are digital, they do not require any lengthy chemical processing. Your child’s X-ray scans are available on our computer screen within seconds so that we can discuss your child’s oral health and treatment plan when you come in. In addition, another benefit of digital X-rays is that if you ever need to take your child to another specialist, we can send the scans digitally so there’s no paper waste.
Mercury-Free Dental Materials
Silver (amalgam) fillings are made of mercury and can be a source of direct mercury exposure for your children. As a result, we treat your child with composite (tooth-colored) fillings that are durable, natural-looking, and safe.
Latex-Free
Latex allergies are very common. In order to keep all of our patients safe, we use synthetic substitutes. Your child’s health is our number one priority.
BPA-Free Dental Materials
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, bisphenol A (BPA) has been present in many consumer plastic products and food packaging since the 1960s. According to some studies, BPA can have adverse health effects. We are committed to using BPA-free dental materials to ensure the safety of your child’s oral and overall health.
Formocresol-Free Treatments
Formocresol is a toxic substance used by many dentists for baby root canals (pulpotomies). We use different materials that are non-toxic and safe for children.
Non-Toxic Cleaning Products Used Daily
We exceed the ADA and OSHA standards for a clean and safe dental practice by using non-toxic cleaning products to disinfect and sterilize our treatment rooms and dental equipment.
