Meet Dr. Michelle DaRocha

Dr. Michelle DaRocha joined the All Kids Pediatric Dentistry team and quickly became a beloved presence for patients and families alike. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, she grew up in a Portuguese and Brazilian household and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. That multilingual ability allows her to connect with a wide range of families across our Charlotte-area communities and make visits more comfortable for children and parents who may prefer to communicate in their native language.
Dr. DaRocha's Education and Training
Dr. DaRocha’s path to pediatric dentistry is marked by both academic achievement and meaningful real-world experience. She majored in Biology at Merrimack College, then earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University. During dental school, she participated in externships abroad in Nicaragua and China, providing dental care to patients in underserved communities.
After graduating, she practiced general dentistry in Lawrence, Massachusetts as a Delta Dental Scholar before pursuing advanced training. She then completed her Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry through New York University Langone Dental Medicine’s program at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. Her research during training focused on pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, a topic that reflects her interest in the connection between oral health and children’s overall well-being.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recognizes pediatric dentistry as a specialty requiring at least 24 months of advanced training beyond dental school, and Dr. DaRocha’s credentials reflect that rigorous path.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. DaRocha stays active through yoga, running, and spin classes. She loves to travel with her husband, particularly to Brazil and Portugal, where she has family, and she enjoys learning about different cultures, listening to music, and spending time with her grandmother back in Boston.
That sense of adventure and genuine curiosity about the world translates directly into her work. She approaches every patient interaction with openness and enthusiasm, meeting each child and family where they are. Parents frequently appreciate her ability to explain things clearly and to make the entire visit feel calm and welcoming from start to finish.
