Meet Dr. Maya Mathai
There are dentists who treat teeth, and then there are pediatric dentists who genuinely love what they do every single day. Dr. Maya Mathai is firmly in the second category, bringing board-certified training, warmth, and a whole lot of enthusiasm to her work with the youngest patients at All Kids Pediatric Dentistry. She relocated to Charlotte to be close to family and friends, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Dr. Mathai is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Maya Mathai joined the All Kids Pediatric Dentistry team with a commitment to building trust with her patients from the very first visit. A West Virginia Mountaineer at heart, she traded mountain views for sunny Charlotte and says the trade-off has been well worth it. She is warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely loves working with kids.

Her residency at a nationally recognized children’s hospital gave her experience working with patients across a wide spectrum of needs, from routine care to complex cases. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recognizes pediatric dentistry as a specialty requiring at least 24 months of advanced training beyond dental school, and Dr. Mathai’s credentials reflect that rigorous path.
